Born and raised in Bronxville, NY, Mary attended Bronxville High School. It was here that she first caught the eye of the nation and eventually the world. With numerous New York state titles already to her name, Mary was thrust into the national spotlight at the age of 16. After winning the USA Junior 1500m Championship in 2012, she broke the American Junior Record at the distance while competing in Barcelona for the World Junior Championships. About Mary

  • Coach: John Henwood
  • Agent: Ricky Simms
  • Philanthropic involvement: Meals on Wheels: I am a driver and runner for our local chapter
  • Favorite foods: I love to cook and experiment with new recipes, so I probably don’t have one! Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day, though.
  • Hobbies: reading, writing, cooking
  • Favorite TV show: Game of Thrones and Riverdale (wow… opposite ends of the spectrum right there)
  • Dream vacation: New Zealand: my coach is always talking about it, so I have to go someday
  • Favorite place to compete: New York: no where better than home
  • Favorite holiday: Christmas
  • I most enjoy competing against: sprinters. Running shorter distances is so fun!
  • Superhero: Marvel= Spiderman; DC= The Flash
I am very passionate about volunteering with Meals on Wheels. Here in Bronxville, we have a great local chapter, through which I have met some amazing people. I encourage others to remember the charity in their prayers and consider donating their time and money to their own local chapters.
