From the Crawfish Capitol of the World, Ricky was born and raised in Breaux Bridge, LA, where he attended Breaux Bridge High School. He would earn multiple Lousiana state championships in the 300 meter hurdles and triple jump before transitioning to Hinds Community College in Mississippi.
